SHOWING AT THE RIALTO SUNDAY - MONDAY
Board Refuses To Attempt
Settlement Of Disput
Among Cadets
4 COLLEGE STATION, Tex.. May
B i 13.—(UP.)—The Texas A. & M. Col-
li j lege board of directors has flatly
f. j refused to attempt any settlement of
a two-day dispute between the cadet
corps of students and the adminis-
tration. «
Six members of the Senior Class,
who resigned their commissions as
cadet officers when their companies
refused to disband during demon-
strations of protest Thursday and
Friday, appeared before the board.
They were instructed to retake
their positions of command and
“give the younger boys the leader-
ship they need.”
The board conceded that the ca-
dets might have well-founded com-
plaints against severe rules for dis-
cipline. But is expressed “every
faith in the fairness and ability” of
the college administration and.com-
mandant Colonel M. C. Welty.
The cadet grievances were refer-
red to the college executive-council ter- k011
for future action, perhaps
week.
