On Wedding Trip
After a wedding trip to South
Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Leslie
McDonald, who were married June
2 at Highland Street Church of
Christ, Abilene, will reside at 650
College drive, Abilene.
Dr. OrvaJ Filbeck, instructor in
education at Abilene Chriltian col-
|ege, read .the double ririg cere-
mony. The entire a capelin chorus
of the college gave background ac-
companiment as Miss Joyce Linn
sang "Because” and "Ah, Sweet
Mystery of Life," The chorus also
sang the traditional ‘wedding pro-
cessional and recessional.
Given in .marriage by her father,
the bride wore a dress of white
crepe styled with elongated bodice
and a high round- neckline. The
long pointed sleeves were accented
with diamond- shaped insets of
chiffon outlined with circles of
seed pearls. Her fingertip-length
veil of illusion depehded from a
seed pearl, tiara. She carried a
white Bible topped with blue gar-
denias entwined with bouvardia
and French tulle. ,
Mrs. Chesley McDonald of Ster-
ling City was matron of honor.
Serving as bridesmaids weire Miss
<Juita Roberts of Abilene. Miss
Beth Patteson of Smiley, Miss \Vil-
na Mona of Sweetwater, and Miss
June Linn of Rosebud.
Chesley McDonald attended his
brother as best man, and grooms-
men were Bill McClure and Guer-
don Busch, both of Abilene, Wil-
lard Paine of Merkel and Jake
Mullins of Valley Mills; Ushers-
were Noble Harris ahd James
Walker Nichols, both of Abilene,,
and Walter Cypert of Hamlin.
Zeliner hall at Abilene Christian
college was the scene of the wed-
ding reception. Ml»s D: W. Win-
kles and Miss Jo Hollman presided
«t the table.
For travel the bride wore a suit
of aqua raw silk with sable mist.
accessories and a corsage of white
carnation*. ’
Mrs. McDonald is a graduate of
Wichita Fails High school and will
be graduated from ACC in August.
At the college she is -a member of ;■
ttATA social club. Campus ServTee
Organraation, Alpha Psi Omega, the
W club, and served as yell leader.
Mr. McDonald is a Robert E.
Lee High school graduate and will
be graduated from Abilene Chris-
