Texas Young Judaea, is giving
a tea Sunday from 4 to 6 at the
Montefiore Hall in Temple Beth
EL All Young Judaeans are

The Maccabean Club a branch
of Texas Region of Young Ju-
daea, is sponsoring a Valentine
dance at the YMHA HalL comer
Chartres and Clay, on Sunday,
February 13.
Music will be furnished by
Fran Mowery and his orchestra
Mr. Mowery has played for
several dances at the Y Build-
ing and conducts dances for the
High School every week end.
His band is well balanced and
plays a variety of the latest
dance hits.
Tickets will go On sale shortly
and may be secured from any
member. Admission, $1.00 per

“Hatchetmen” took a 2-0 lead
in the first minute of play but

The game turned out to be a
comedy and the tactics of the
players of both teams haj the
largecrowd in an uproar through-
out the tussle. The Ramblers
wore paced by Abe “ButcherboyT
Lewis with 13 points, Feingersh
with 11 points and Sachs with 9.
Incidentally, Sachs also played
flawless defensive ball.
Comical Aron Pasternak ran
wild for the hatchetznen, scoring
half of his teams points. Isadore
Shoes, valuable guard, played hia
usual good brand of ball.
There will be no games played
Sunday in the YMHA league due
to the Ramblers’ annual basket-
ball tournament, but the teams
will swing into action Tuesday
night, January IS, with three
games carded. A dollar’s worth
of entertainment for a dime is
promised for all those who at-
tend these gaznea.

New York (WNS) — Efforts
of the -Friends of Zion to raise
$25,000 in this country for a
$150,000.00 medical research lab-
oratory at the Hebrew Univer-
sity in Palestine received the ap-
proval of Dr. Abert Einstein in
a brief talk at the 40th annual
dinner of the society. One-fifth
of the quota has already been
