and Mrs, Alfredo Garza
of Mercedes, was honored
on his 14th birthday with a
barbecue at the home of
his parents, Monday evening,
December 1. The menu
consisted of barbecue, pota-
to salad, barbecue beans,
birthday cake and cold
drinks.
The guests listened to re-
cords and played games.
Those present were Gil-
bert Chapa, David Harris,
Bobby Gonzalez, Joe Mar-
shall, Rolando Moreno, Lay-
ne Moore, Alex Lopez, Joe
Reagan, Sergio Garcia, Mark
Schwarz, Tony del Angel and

elementary education from

groom, a graduate of Mer-
cedes high school, received
a B.S. degree in Mathema-
tics from Pan American
College. He is presently at-
tending Navigation School at
Mather Air Force Base in
Sacramento, Cal.
