When the grounds of the City Park
are dry enough and are prepared,
we will be putting out shrubs and
flowers. We are so appreciative of
those who are offering us plants for
this project and when the time is
ready, the members will lurnish
plants and we will begin work. We
are making plans to have contests
in judging local lawns later and fur-
ther stimulating our interest by this
in beautifying our city. We already
have lots of beautiful lawns in o.;r
town.
With the Easter season so near,
the club has made plans to send
candy Ea.-ter eggs, cookies, and co'd
drinks to the Mexia State Home.

Council Of FYH To
Meet In Fairfield
The Executive Council of Area VIII
of Young Homemakers of Texas met
April 12 at the homemaking depart-
ment of Fairfield High School.
Representatives from Teague, Buf-
falo. Mildred and Fairfield were pre-
sent.
Mrs. Beasley Terry of Teague, Area
President, called the meeting to or-
der and introduced the group.
Plans were made for the Area
Meeting to be he Id in Fairfield, June
13, 1965.
Following the business session, sup-
per was served with the Fairfield
Chapter serving as hostesses. Barbe-
qued chicken, furnished by the Fair-
field Chapter, was ser\ed along with
covered dishes brought by each of
the twenty people present.
Also attending was Mrs Hannah
Hoff Brown, Area Advisor, of Waco.
