Thursday night was enjoyed by ev-
eryone who attended. There were
sixty-five guests who registered.
Anita Ward and Bradley Anderson
were chosen as the Valentine Sweet-
hearts and presented a gift from

teams played their last district
games F'riday at Midway. The boys
placed fourth in District 22-A and
the girls placet! third Bobby Rob-
ertson was chosen for the all-district
team and Paul Smith received hon-
orable mention.
Congratulations to the fifth and
sixth grade boys basketball team
for receiving consolation in the tour-
nament held here last week end.

Lelio Pitmon Plons
Career As Beautician
Lelia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Pitmon, was born on May i
20, 1940. She has no brothers or sis-
ters.
Lelia has gone to school in Fair-
field all her life. While in high
school, Lelia has taken part in
many activities. She has been a
member of the Homemaking chap-
ter four years. This year she serves
as Unit III President. Lelia was a
duchess in the coronation. This year (
she is reporter for the Senior Class ,
and was a librarian her Junior and
Senior years She was a member
of the choir two years also.
Lelia received perfect attendance
awards for three years. Besides tak-
ing part in school activities, Lelia
has been a member of the 4 11 Club
for two years.
After graduation, Ix?lia plans to
attend a beauty school.

Thursday of last week and present-
ed the students with a Bible, writ-
ten in Spanish.
The book contains both the Old
Testament and New Testament with
references and a concordance. The
book was published by the Bible
Society in Latin America.
Students in the class have mem-
orized the Lord's Prayer and the
Twenty-Third Psalm from the Bible.

FHA Chapter Has
Sweetheart Party
The Future Homemakers’ Sweet-
heart Party was held Thursday
night, Feb. 13, in the Band Hall.
It was appropriately decorated in
red and white.
The first event of the party was
to vote for the King and Queen of
Hearts. Pass the Lifesaver. the
Loveletter game. Pass the Orange
and the Banana game were played
w hile the votes were being count- j
ed.
The results were finally announc
ed. Anita Ward and Bradley Ander-
son were chosen the King and
Queen and each was given a box
of candy. Martha Carroll, Pep Club
Sweetheart; Patricia Denton, Band
Sweetheart, and Paul Smith, FHA
Sweetheart, were also given a box
of candy each.
Everyone lined up to eat accord-
ing to the classes that had won the
most games. Sandwiches, potato
chips, cookies and punch were serv-
ed in the homemaking building
After refreshments were served,
everyone returned to the Band Hall
and played more games.

Meeting Thursday
The Junior Class held a class
meeting on Thursday. Feb. 13, in
the high school auditorium. The
class decided on the theme for the
Junior-Senior Prom.
Anita Ward, president of the class,
appointed several committees to
work and plan for the prom.

Loses To Midway
The high school girls lost their
final game of the season Friday
night The final score was Midway
46 and Fairfield 23 Diana Smith
was high point scorer with 21. All
the guards played an outstanding
game
The girls ended the season with a
12-10 record and tied for third in
district play.
