family have gone to Nederland for
a two weeks’ visit with his sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Oren Hassion.
Mrs. W. C. Howison returned this
week from McKinney, where she at-
tended the annual conference of the
WSCS of the Methodist church.
Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Chesshir of
Brewster, were guests last week in
the homes of their daughters, Mmes.
Gus Swaim and Sidney Hudson.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Garrett of
Magnolia, Ark.,, spent the week end
here with his parents Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Garrett, leaving Monday for
Amarillo.

here in the J. A. Underwood home.
Mrs. Melvin Brown returned on
Monday after a several days’ visit

Mmes. Ben Ray and Charlie Sum-
mers have returned from Sallisaw,
Ok., after a week’s stay with Mrs.
Russell Ray, who underwent a ma-
jor operation recently, but is re-
cuperating nicely.
Mrs. James Gibson has returned
to her home at San Francisco, Calif.,
after a visit with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. C. E. Davidson and other
relatives.

In the election held Saturday to
name two school trustees, Horace
Lawler was re-elected and Boss
Suggs was chosen to fill the unex-
pired term of Carol Leeper, who
moved away sometime ago. Thirty
votes were polled.
Ross McClure has purchased from
John W. Lee the lot and building
on Highway 271 in Bogata, which
Mr McClure has occupied for more
than four years as the home of his
Conoco service station.
Mai Wilkinson and daughter, Mrs. I
Wilmet Halverson and son, Kent,
left Saturday for their home at Al-1
buquerque, N. M., after a visit here
with his mother, Mrs. Mary Wilkin-
son.
Mrs. Luther Tyer entertained on
Sunday, April 2, in honor of her
husband’s birthday. Lunch was
served to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lati-
mer and children of Dallas, Mr. and
Mrs. Lee Mcnchew and family of
Rosalie, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Tread-
way of Talco, Peggy Bell and Bill
Dyer of Rosalie.
Rev. and Mrs. W. M. Jones of
Joy and Mrs. W. R. Conkle and
children of Wichita Falls, spent Fri-
day night with their sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Aaron White and family of
Johntown, enroute to Mt. Pleasant
to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs.

had as guests Sunday, Mrs. Jordan
Bradford of Lubbock, Mrs. Jewel
Ferguson of Paris, Mrs. John Goree
