Saved His Life.
J. W. Davenport, Wingo, Ky.,
writes, June 14, 1902: “I want to
tell you I believe Ballard’s Snow Lini-
ment saved my life. 1 was under the
treatment of two doctors, and they
told me one of my lungs was entirely
gone, and the other badly affected- I
also had a lump on my side. I don't
think that I could have lived ever two
months longer. I was induced by a
friend to try Ballard’s Snow Liniment.
The first application gave me great
relief; two fifty cent bottles cured me
sound and well.
It is a wonderful medicine and I
recommend it to suffering humanity

ASSOCIATION TO
BE_ORGANIZED.
While we are cleaning up our
city, cutting weeds and grass,
let us not forget our “city of the
dead.” During the summer the
weeds and grass have run riot on
the vacant Ibts and lots owned by
people who have moved away or
who are not interested in the
appearance of the grounds. Many
of the cedar trees have died from
being infested with insects and
should be cut down and burned
in order to preserve the living
trees. By a united effort upon
the part of our citizens and a
small outlay of money our ceme-
tery can be cleaned up and made
more beautiful. The ladies of
the city are earnestly requested
to take thit work in hand and re-
organize the Cemetery Associa-
tion, and all ladies who feel an
interest in this work are urged
to meet next Thursday afternoon
at 3 o’clock at the Baptist church.

Notice.
There will be a meeting of the
U. C. V. on Saturday, October
14, at the court house at 3 o’clock.
All members are urged to be in
attendance, as business of im-
portance will be transacted,
