Betty Jansen, age 66,
passed away on Sunday,
September 12, 2010, at her
home in Comanche, Texas.
She was born on October
23, 1043, in Dallas, Texas, to
Pete and Ann (Mikesh) Truly,
On February 14. 1987,
she was united in marriage to
Robert “Bob” Eugene Jansen
in San Antonio, Texas. He
preceded her in death on
December 28, 2007 Betty
was a Catholic. For many
years she was a bookkeeper,
and she was very involved in
Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by son,
Stephen Kennedy of San
Antonio, Texas; daughter,
Jessica Jansen of Jacksonville,
Florida; son and daughter-in-
law, Jimmy and Ryan Jansen
of Lompoc, California;
daughter, Barbara Jansen of
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma;
grandson, Tyler Michael
Meeks of Jacksonville,
Florida; sister-in-law, Judy
Truly of Weatherford, Texas;
and numerous nieces and
nephews. She was preceded
in death by her parents, Pete
and Ann Truly; and two
brothers, Louis Ray Truly and
Bob Allen Truly.
Lunch will be at the
family home at 203 N. Hall in
Comanche.
Funeral Services will be
at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
September 15, 2010 at the
Comanche Funeral Home
Chapel with Fr. Philip
McNamara officiating. Burial
will be in Gardens of Memory
Cemetery in Comanche
County, with Comanche
Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.

He was bom October 30,
1920 in DeLeon where he
was a lifelong resident. His
parents were George and
Viean Morton Morgan.
He married Mary Frances
Carruth on May 3, 1942. She
preceded him in death on
April 18, 2010 after 68 years
of marriage.
He graduated from
DeLeon High School in 1939,
He served in the Army Air
Corps during WWI1 and flew
50 missions in a B-17 over
Europe.
He and Frances started
their fanning, ranching and
son raising on their place west
of DeLeon in 1946, and he
finally retired on December
31, 2009, after 63 years. He
had a diversified operation,
raising peanuts, chickens,
cattle, hogs and peaches. He
was an early proponent of
Coastal Bermudagrass for our
sandy land.
He was a long time
member of the First Baptist
Church in DeLeon where he
was a deacon, Sunday School
teacher, and also served
in many other capacities.
He was actively involved
in his community serving
as Chairman and Director
of Comanche Electric
Cooperative, Director of
DeLeon Hospital, Director
of the Cemetery Association
and President of the
Comanche County Farmers
Union. He was recognized
as Outstanding Conservation
Farmer, Farmer of the Year
by the Chamber of Commerce
and he and Frances were
accorded the Golden Deeds
Award by the Chamber.
Funeral Services were
held at DeLeon First
Baptist Church on Monday,
September 13, 2010 at 2:00
p.m. with his former pastors,
Rev. Tom Satterwhite and
Rev. Cecil Harper officiating.
Family visitation was held
on Sunday from 6:00 to
8:00 p.m. at the funeral
home. Burial followed in the
DeLeon Cemetery Music
was provided by Rocky and
Martha Bunting, and Pam and
Loyd Rush. Pallbearers were
his grandsons and grandsons-
in-law. Honorary Pallbearers
were the DeLeon First Baptist
Church Deacons, the Loyalty
Sunday School Class and his
B-17 crew members: Bud
Reeder, Wilbur Klopfenstein
and Dennis Trotter.
Services were under the
direction of Nowlin Anders
Funeral Home of DeLeon.
He is survived by four
sons, Jerry and Sheri Morgan
of DeLeon, James and Patrice
Morgan of DeLeon, Bill and
Kay Morgan of Plano, and
Rick Morgan of Plano; eight
grandchildren, Julie and Matt
Christensen of Richardson,
Karen and Erin Weaver of
LaVernia, Amy and Joe Green
ofNorth Haledon, New Jersey,
Katie and Paul Michael Vacca
of Watauga, Robby and Stacy
Morgan of Austin, Clint
Morgan of Dallas, Ali Morgan
of Dallas and Michele Riojas
of Austin; and eight great
grandchildren. He is also
survived by three sisters-
in-law, Mae Morgan, June
Carruth and Evelyn Hare all
of DeLeon.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; his wife;
brothers. Jack, Charles and
Kenneth Morgan; daughter-
in-law, Beth Morgan;
brothers-in-law, Billy Carruth,
and Billy Joe Hare; and sister-
in-law, Mary Nell Morgan.

Buman Harmon Price, age
94, passed away on Saturday,
September 11, 2010 at his
home in Comanche County.
Buman was bom on
August 13, 1916, in Dierks,
Arkansas to William Michael
Price and Lela Rose Modisett.
On August 29,1939, he was
united in marriage to Martha
Omega Hale in Kingman,
Arizona. She preceded him in
death on September 10, 2005.
Buman was a veteran and
served in the United States
Army in WW1I. He worked as
an aircraft inspector for Bell
Helicopter. Buman loved and
served the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 le lived his life as an example
to us all.
He is survived by daughters
and sons in law, Sharon Ruth
and Darrell Bentley of Proctor,
and Rebekah Arlene and
Jimmy Drury of Dublin; son
and daughter in law, Nathan
Doyle and Carrie Price of
Burleson; six grandchildren;
brother. Pemal Price of
Tempe, Arizona; sister,
Jean Yingling of Palmdale,
