filling frosts were reported in
ftiz states in the west snd sooth
yesterday. The region visited
by the unseasonable weather ex-
tended from Iowa to Maryland,
and grtat loss to the growers of
frnits and vegetables is reported.

Iowa and spread into Missouri
and Kansas.
Througbont Ohio the straw-
berry crop suffered greatlv and
in the Kentucky blue grass re-
gion there was ice on the pools.
Snow and frost reports came
from many points in Maryland

This is said to be the coldest
