Hear Again From Their
Son In Jap Prison Camp
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Richardson
received a card this week from their
son, Homer, prisoner of the Japs1
in the Phillipines. It was similar to
the card received from him a few
weeks ago. It carried no date, was
from Prison No. 1. It
in fair health, not to worry
him and to give his regards to all.
The card had a fresh, new appear-
l ance and is supposed to have been
mailed recently.

Now Gunnery Graduate
The following was issued last week
and came to our notice too late for

“A graduate this week of the Har-
lingen flexible gunnery school who
qualified as an expert aerial trigger-
man after six weeks of intensive
training, and now wears the silver

ed at Camp Wolters, Texas. From

Cain, and baby son, Joe Douglas,
here last week. Mrs. Griffin and ba-

Lt. Roland T. Knight, who resign-
ed last year as a teacher in the Fair-
field school to volunteer in the air
service, is piloting Flying Fortresses
from a base somewhere in England
to bomb Germany. A graduate of
Sam Houston State Teachers college,
Lieut. Knight won his wings at
Chandler, Ariz. His mother, Mrs. W.
B. Knight, lives in Centerville, where
J Lieut. Knight was reared.

have received a letter from their son,
Sgt. Newburn Richardson stationed
at Napier Field. He stated that he
was fine, and that The Recorder was
a welcome visitor, and interested
him so much in hearing from home
that he generally read it over twice.
