The beautiful Sau Saba river

uierly the boys alouo monopolized
it waters for that purpose Now
wo see carriage after carriage pass
filled with the families of our lead-
ing citizens all bent on the eiijoy
momt of a swim and sometimes a
ducking in tho puro and healthy
waters of the San Saba
This is a step in the right direc-

innocent and healthful character
makes life enjoyable

Tho trustees of our school dis-
trict have ordered new seats for
three rooms in the college and
are arranging to screen the win-
dows to prevent tho glass destruc-
tion which has heretofore been
such an item in the current expen
cos They havo had tho roof re-
paired and tho bats dislolged
whether effectually or not remains
to bo seen
There is a largo cistern made at
considerable expenses which has
been rendered entirely useless
from bats and bad boys As noth-
ing is more agreeable than good
water and fresh pure air The
trustees should look after tho bats
and the principle will tnko care of
tho boys
