Year Resident Of
Wortham
Mrs. Maria Josephine Craig died
ai her home April 10, 1950 after a
illness of two years. Ma. as she
was lovingly railed by her grand-
children and her friends, was born
in Henderson, Kentucky, July a,
1861. There she grew to woman-
hood, united with the Methodist
Church and was married to William
W. Craig on March 6, 1879.
She came to Texas in 1880 and
settled in west Texas later moved
to Wortham some sixty years ago.
She leaves five children to mourn
her passing; two sons, Murray
Craig of .Streetman and Leonard
Ciaig of Karnack; three daughters,
Mrs. Elsie Johnson, Mrs. Boh Lee
and Mrs. Ermine Henry all of Wor-
tham; 21 grandchildren, 18 great-
grandchildren, 7 great-great-grand-
children, and a host of neprews and
nieces.
