Deaths and services
Busby
Faye Buiby, 89, of Bluffton, died
on June 10,1 967. Services were held
on June 13 at Firat Union Church
in Buchanan Dam, with the Rev. Don
Weyland officiating. Mrs. Busby, a
member of the First Union Church,
and Robert Emerson Busby were
married on March 4, 1936, in
Oklahoma City. She was born on
October 11, 1897, in Weatherford to
Henry Bingham and the former
Jeanette Wheeler.
Her husband. Bob Busby of Bluff'
ton, survives. a< do a daughter,
Florene Erdman of Huntsville, a
number of nieces and nephews, two
grandchildren, one great grandchild
and one great, great grandchild.
Billie Aleiandder of Burnet and
Mary Simmons of Brownsville; three
granc children and two great
grandchildren.

field Funeral Home.
Easley
Corley
Funeral services for Mary Evelyn
Corley, 82, of Kingsland, were held
at St. Antony's Cathedral in Beau-
mont on June 11, 1987. Burial
followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery in
Beaumont.
Mrs. Corley died on June 8. She
was born on November 16, 1904, in
Layfette, Louisiana, to John Vander-
griff and the former Noime Dugas.
She was a retired private duty nurse.
Survivors include two daughters.
Rae Austin Easley, 90, of George-
town, died June 11, 1987. No funeral
services are planned.
Mr. Easley was born on August
11, 18%, in Chillicothe, Texas, to
Walter Edwin Easley and Mary Reed
Easley. A self-employed real estate
broker in Corpus Christi and Boeme
before retirement, Mr. Easley had
served in the United States Army
during World War 1.
Survivors are his wife, Mary R.
Easley of Georgetown; three daugh-
ters, Raemar E. Shown of Austin,
Virginia Cusack of Golden, Colorado,
Nancy Ise of Federal Way, Wash-
ington; a sister, Margaret Huie of
Lakewood, Colorado; two stepsons,
Donald Waqueck of Nashville and
Roger Waqeck of Kansas City,
Missouri; 15 grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren.
Expressions of sympathy may be
made to the American Lung Associ-
ation or to a charity of the donor’s
choice.

Ewing
Funeral services for Virginia Ew-
ing, 54, of Kingsland. were held on
June 12, 1987, at Kingsland Com-
munity Church, with the Rev.
George Betford officiating. Burial
was at Kingsland Cemetery:
Mrs. Ewing was born on August
14, 1932, in Wilmington, Delaware,
and died June 9. She and Joseph
Ewing were married on January 3,
1951, in Elkton, Maryland. She was a
member of the Community Church in
Kingsland.
Besides her husband, J.R. Ewing
of Kingsland, she is survived by a
son, Robert L. Ewing of Kingsland;
three daughters, Kathryn L. Ewing,
Elizabeth Ewing and Tammy K.
Hester of Austin; two brothers,
James Everett and Joe Everett, both
of Wilmington; three sisters, Doro-
thy Wild of Wilmington. Thelma
Brown of Elkton, Sandy Everett of
Westbrook, Main, and one grand-
child.
Pallbearers were Ray Hester, David
Kessler, George Stem, Bill Walker,
Ricky Kalb and Rex King.
Arrangements by Waldrope-Hat-
field Funeral Home.

Graveside services at Llano ity
Cemetery were held on June 15,
1987, for Geraldine “Gerry" Riggs.
76, of Llano. Mrs. Riggs, the widow
of Buck Dewey Riggs, died on June
14.
She was born in Wisconsin on
August 21, 1910, to John and Eva
Harp.

Roe
Services for Lorene Roe, 68, of
Llano, were held at Waldrope-Hat-
field Chapel on June 10, 1987.
Brother Herbert Newman officiated.
Burial was at Llano City Cemetery.
Mrs. Roe, who was married to
James Roe in Hastings, Oklahoma,
on December 7, 1940, was bora on
September 14, 1918, in Velma,
Oklahoma, to Oliver Emerson and
the former Cora Kinsey. She died
June 8.
Besides her husband, James, of
Llano, she is survived by two
daughters. Linda Gibbs of Llano and
Barbara Ginsberg of El Cajon,
California; a sister, Mrs. Ruth
Branham of Duncan, Oklahoma, and
three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Grote,
Darrell Templeton, Brace Bush,
Chuck Gibbs, George Humphries
and Jim Oestreich.
Weber
Mary Agnes Mansell Weber, 66,
of Llano, died June 15,1987. Funeral
services took place at Wald rope
Hatfield Chapel on June 17 with the
Rev. Carlos Murphy officiating.
Burial followed at Llano City Ceme-
tery.
Mrs. Weber, who was born on
December 13,1920, in Llano to Harm
C. Mansell and the former Cora
Claw*on, had been a lifelong resi-
dent of Llano. She was a member of
the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors are a son, Gordon Don
Watson of Llano; a daughter, Lois
Harned Kuhn of Mineral Wells; a
brother, Billy 0. Mansell of Llano;
two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Stewart of
Llano, Mrs. Gladys Turner of San
Saba, five grandchildren and six
great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Marvin Kuhn,
Calvin Moses and Jimmy Don Gray.
Willingham
Burial was at Tow Cemetery
following the June 9, 1987, services
for Raymond “Ray” Willingham,
66, of Tow, at the Firat Baptist
Church in Tow. The Rev. Stanley
Nixon officiated.
Mr. Willingham was born to Ike
Willingham and the former Bessie
Davis on September 11, 1920, in
Menard. He died June 7.
He and Faye Catrell were married
on October 22, 1938, in Menard. A
drilling supervisor with Fairman
Drilling for 27 years before retire-
ment, he was a member of the
Masonic Lodge and had served with
the United States Marine Corps
during World War II. >
Hia wife, Faye, of Tow, survives
him. Other survivors are his mother,
Bessie Willingham; a ion, Raymond
Willingham, Jr., of Mt. Isa, Austra-
lia; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Williams
of Kermit, Texas; a brother. Fred
Willingham of Dallas; three sisters,
Mrs. Margaret Lofton. Mrs. Marie
Edison. Mrs. Jean Sweatman. all of
Dallas; five grandchildren and one
great grandchild.
Members of the Masonic Lodge
acted as pallbearers.
Waldrope-Hatfield Funeral Home
was in charge.

Fine Arts Guild, Inc., of Katemcy,
Texas hat completed a week of
Intensive study on the "Anatomy.of
the Horse in Motion” at a workshop
sponsored by the Cowboy Artists of
America Museum here.
The workshop was conducted by CA
member Jack Swanson of Carmel
Valley, California, one of the world’s
foremost painters and sculptors of
the horse.
Swanson accented 30 painters and
sculptors to attend the ftve-day
series of classes and lectures.
