Commissioners Court of Bandera
County, Texas, proposed to raise
the salary of County Treasurer
Elizabeth James from $357.00 per
month to $500.00 per month to set
the salary of the County Treasurer
in accordance with those salaries
of other elected Bandera County
officials serving the county on a
full time basis. In addition to
performing the duties of the office
of County Treasurer, in counties
with a population of less than
15,000, the County Treasurers are
now reqi ;red to perform many of
the duties of full time County

Construction
The Texas Highway Depart-
ment offered an opportunity, for a
public hearing to be requested by
publication on December 22 and
29, 1972 of a notice reporting the
proposed improvement of F.M
Highway 1336 in the central part of
Bandera County, from State High #
way 16, in Medina City, West 7.8
Miles. No requests for a public
hearing were received; therefore,
the Resident Engineer of the
Texas Highway Department, at
Hondo, Texas, has submitted all of
the engineering data and in-
formation received in.connection
with the development of this
project for approval of the'1
proposed route and design by the
District Engineer of the Texas
Highway Department
The proposed improvement will .
consist of upgrading the existing
two lane facility to include the
replacement of existing overflowJ
sections with ^drainage struc- ’
tures, mipor relocation bf cej-taTn
sections of the highway to flatten
horizontal curvature, and
reconstruction of some areas to
improve vertical alignment. The
existing right of way width is 80
feet and the proposed right of way
width will be 120 feet.
Maps, drawings showing
geometric design, and all other
available data concerning the
development of this project, in-
cluding environmental studies,
may be inspected and copied at
the Resident Engineer's Office in
Hondo, Texas.
