JUNIOR NEWS

the Sunshine Boys in person!

the county courthouse.
When? March S, 1949.
jfveryone plan to come to this
great event sponsored by the Jun-
ior fl..« of Fairfield High School.
There will be plenty of fun for
everyone from the kiddies up. For
those who like good hillbilly music,
remember this date.
The planning of the Junior-
Senior Banquet is still going on.
The foods committee has the menu
planned, and the other committees
have done some work.

HOBO DAYS
Our chapter had a hobo day last
■ Saturday, but only about five
I freshmen took part '~i it. How-
ever, these girls brought in a good
Saturday, March 12, we are go-
ing to have another hobo day.
This time we expect to have every-
one in the chapter taking part, if
they possibly can. We wilF be
dressed as hobos and coime- to your
back doors asking for work.
ff you have some special job you
would like for us to do on that
day, please call Mrs. Allen and
she will send a girl that can do
the job to your house. The joibs
we will do for you include baby-
sitting, house cleaning, dish wash-
ing, cooking, sewing and typing.
You pay us only what you want to
for these jobs.
There will be three hobo days,
and from these days each girl is
supposed to turn in to the treas-
ury two dollars. This money is to
be used to buy an all-steel sink for
our kitchen.
Thursday we had our regular
chapter meeting. After dispens-
ing with old and new business, the
second year girls gave the pro-
gram. A song was given by Deb-
bie Ivy, Wanda Lopes, Georgia

day night.

Dickie and Marlene were together
again Saturday night.
There must have really been an
attraction in Teague Sunday af-
ternoon. Half of Fairfield was
over there.

SEVENTH GRADE SCIENCE
CLUB

The meeting was called to order
by President Don Emmons. The
secretary gave his report. Next
the treasurer gave her report.
Some of our club money was
stolen. Next we elected officers.
They are: President, Bobbie Joe
Harris; vice-president, Bobbie Jo
Await; secretary, John Watson;
treasurer, Charles Don Allen;
orderlies, Carolyn Tice and Brad-
ford York; program chairman,
Leslie Reid Bonner; refreshment
committee, Jimmy Mdllveen, Har-
ry Lee, John Wayne, and Edgar
Mac Terry.
The meeting was then adjourned
by our new president, Bobbie Joe
Harris.

Oh, boy! Ar4 we ever glad that
our six weeks tests are over. Hope
we passed them!
We are very glad to have
Barbara Jean back after several
days absence because of illaess.
We are hoping Edwin Joe is
back for good because we really
missed him.
Say! You teachers ought to
give us a little rest—two years
maybe—don’t you think?
Jerry Daniel has moved back
and we’re glad to have him.
