FACULTY CLUB OFFICERS

FACULTY CLUB AT SOUTH FLAINS COLLEGE

tin, right, holds a headed Indian necklace found on a
ranch in Hockley County. These findings will later be
permanently displayed in the library of tno college along
w ith other items.
The Faculty Club of South Plains College was organized
in September of 1958 with 35 members. It is composed
of women faculty members and wives of faculty mem-
bers. The organization proposes to promote a better re'a-
tionship between teacher and student and provides
social activities for the faculty and wives and engages in
various projects. The club meets once each month in tne

INTERESTING PROGRAMS PLANNED
college librarian, shows one of the library’s new books to

Mrs. Burks,„as vice-president of the auxiliary, is in
charge of all of the club’s programs and very often uses
the library as a source of program material.
Interesting programs are planned by the program com-
mittee. This year’s programs will include hook reviews,
history of Hockley County, literary, educational and
musical programs. A fellowship period is enjoyed prior
to each of the' programs with different members serving

A Valentine party is planned during a recent meeting
at the home of College President Hr. Thomas M. Spencer.
The party will be held in the Student Union Building and
will include as guests -he entire 1 acuity, their wives and
