Program Target
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Inc., has accepted the United
Negro College Fund as one of
Its major national program
targets, according to Mrs.
James L. Brooks, baslleus of
the local alumnae chapter.
Mrs. Brooks stated: “Alpha
Tau Omega chapter has, for
the past two years, been a
sustaining sponsor for the San
Antonio UNCF campaign, w*
will continue our support for
the survival of black colleges
and universities. A large per
cent of our membership are
alumnae of UNCF schools,
many from the six colleges
In Texas.*
Both the graduate chapter
and Delta Rho, undergraduate
chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha
will participate In the effort.
Members of the sorority-
serve on the UNCF executive
committee and are active In
the KAPE Radio Marathon set
for June 6, 7, 8. Alpha Kappa
Alpha will be responsible for
the northslde collection point
In the area of North Star and
Central Park malls.

Citizens banquet to be held In Fort Sam Houston Officers club.
