Enjoy fireworks at Apogee Stadium on the University of North Texas campus! The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the music begins at 6:30 p.m.

10a.m. FREE FAMILY FUN BEGINS!
Enjoy outdoor inflatables and indoor carnival-style
games until noon at the Civic Center. Low-priced
concessions will be sold.
Outside the Civic Center, all ages can compete in
the following back-to-back family fun games:
10:45 a.m. potato sack races
11 a.m. three-legged races
11:15 a.m. egg and spoon races
11:30 a.m. whipped cream-eating contest
11:45 a.m. water balloon toss
11 a.m.
Entries for the Children’s Arts and Crafts Show will
be displayed until noon in the Civic Center. Entries
must be dropped off between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m.
Enjoy $1 admission to Civic Center Pool until 6 p.m.

16th Annual Liberty Run, 7:30 a.m.
Kick off the day with the 5K run or one-mile walk at North Lakes Rec Center.
Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. Entry includes a T-shirt, drinks, and snacks.
Discounted registration ($15/person) ends Wednesday, July 2 at 5 p.m.
Register in person at Denton Civic Center or by calling (940) 349-PARK.
On race day entry during check-in costs $20/person.
Yankee Doodle Parade, 9 a.m.
It’s not too late to enter the parade! To join the fun, call (940) 349-8579.
The parade line-up begins at 8 a.m. in the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot on
the square, and judging begins at 8:30 a.m. Visitwww.dentonparks.com
for the parade route.
Flag-Raising Ceremony, 9:30 a.m
Join Olympic Medalist Jordan Malone in front of City Hall
for the flag-raising ceremony after the parade.
Jubilee Celebration, 9:30 a.m.
Experience FREE family fun activities, including

9:30 a.m. Lucky Horseshoe Tournament begins at Quakertown
Park. Registration is accepted starting at 9 a.m.
Live entertainment begins at Quakertown Park.
