Cubs Win Consolation

Cubs the win over Tombull by a
score of 53 to 43 in the fconsolatlon
finals In the 9th annual Hlinn col-
lege basketball tournament held at
the Marie Ileinecke Memorial
'gymnasium In lirenham on Thurs-
day, Friday and Saturday. The
Cubs received a beautiful trophy
us consolation winners. Harke-
mack was also placed on the Ail-
Tournament team and was high
point man for the entire tourna-
ment with ku points to Ills credit
and an average of 20 points per
game. He received two miniature
gold basketballs.
The Cubs met Smiley of Hous-
tpn Thursday evening for their
first game and were defeated |,y a
score of 47 to 34. Hackemack was
nigh point man for the Cubs with

The Ladies’ Aid Society of St
John's Lutheran church of War-
renton went on record to treat
their Luther League Carrollers
with refreshments when they re-
turn to the parish hall after their
mission on December 111. Hot
chocolate, sandwiches, and cook-
ies will be served by Mesdames
Alfred Lange, Victor Weishuhn and
and Warner Keilers.
The Society alsd voted to again
sponsor the annual Christmas
Candlelight service for the con-

Lutheran church of Warrenton ex-
tends an Invitation to the public

at 6 to 6:30 p. m. on December 19.
