11:30 am, and teaches skills in
soccer, T-ball and basketball. The

about throwing, catching, fielding

North Lakes Recreation Center is
now offering Les Mills Grit, a
30-minute high-intensity interval
training class, for free during Janu-
ary to group exercise class mem-
bers. North Lakes' group exercise
membership includes more than 30
classes a week, not including Grit,
and a membership to the center's
gym, which includes weights and
cardio machines. Non-members can
drop in to try a class for only $5.
The Heartsaver pediatric first
aid and CPR course, which meets
the regulatory requirements for
child care workers and teaches first
aid, CPR and AED skills, will be
offered from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation
Center, 1300 Wilson St. The course
costs $40 per person, and the
Little Hoopers is a coed basket-
ball league for ages 10-13 at Martin
Luther King Jr. Recreation Center,
1300 Wilson St. The league focuses
on teamwork and skills. Cost is $35
