address and this will be fol-
lowed by the awarding of
achievement pins to 4-H club
boys and girls whq, have done
outstanding work. Various de-
monstrations such as Christ-
mas decorations, basket weav-
ing, reeaning chairs, and soil
and water conservation will
make up the remainder of the
program plus some recreation.
At noon all of those attending
will spread a basket lunch in
the school lunch room.
Home demonstration and
members of the Girls 4-H clubs
will enter the following in

with the traditional Brownie
Smile Song. According to the
original Brownie story it is
customary for each girl to
stand in front of the well,
which was improvised with a
reflector and some moss and
leaves, and repeat the verse-
“Twist me and turn me and
show me the Elf, I looked m
the mirror and saw myself.”
Each individual Brownie
did this in turn and then, after
they saluted ihc Brownie flag
and gave the Promise, Mrs.
Kuhlmann pinned on the
Brownie pin. Thirteen girls re-
ceived their pins indicating
the completion of one year’s
membership. They are- Linda
Hanisch, Carolyn Sumbera,
Carla Fritsch, Bonnie Otto,
Bobctt Kelly, Dotty Roitsch,
Marceil Marburger, Judy Wil-
liams, Karen Kallus, Nancy
von Rosenberg, Jane Kallus,
Janice Moebus and Carol
Gucttler.
The Scout liouse was decor-
ated with autumn flowers and
shrubs. The refreshment table
was laid with a lace cloth over
brown and yellow paper car-
rying out the Brownie colors.
Sandwiches, cookies and punch
were served In the mothers by
their Brownie daughters.
The service was closed with
the singing nf “Good-Night
Brownies” as the girls formed
a circle.
