Rotarians View New
Ladies’ Atomic Hats
Rotarians here Wednesday,
after enjoying an excellent
luncheon at Cottonwood Inn
Restaurant, were given a
glimpse into the future of what
the “Atomic Age” lady would
wear for a hat.
The “out-of-this-world” hats,
designed and “manufactured”
by the young ladies, with the
aid of Mrs. Vernon Warnken,
one of the Girl Scout leaders,
were modeled by Misses Terry
Todd, Jo Ann Lange, Arlene
Rotter, and Dixie Jane Hollo-
way. Mrs. Florence Salm
played the background music
and also accompanied an
“Atomic” song presented by
the local teen-agers.
Aubrey (Red) Voelkel pre-
sided at the parley and Erwin
H. Francke served as program
chairman.
