THE ISSUE OF MARCH II. 1910 REPORTS:
Said the Chronicle: 'It u easy td 'tell a married man
from a single one. Buttons are always missing from the mar-
ried man's: clothes.” '
Said the Chronicle: "Maybe the day will come when a
man can run for office in Texas without being called upon
to show whether he voted for Joe Bailey or Jim Hogg or
somebody else. Maybe!"
That the Teague precinct had recently voted a bond issue
of $50,000 to build good roads.
That D. B. Martin had sold his interest in 'the Teague
Glass & Paint. Co. to Garfield Clayton and Will Owens.

That Fred McGee had opened the Bank Saloon,
i That the Coppersmiths Union's (First Annual Ball would
be given at-the Skating Rink February 21. .
That Jim Stringer, formerly an apprentice and helpful
attache of the Chronicle was now with the Teague Tribune,-
that Jim was “a faithful worker, good typo, and an all round
clever fellow, and we regret to part with him.”
That the First State Bank had announced that Dr. J. B.
Gordon, president of the Bank at Fairfield, had been elected
actiyo-vice president of the Bank and had assumed his du-
ties.
That Judge Boyd was making considerable improvement

— That Reed Bros., of Coolidge, nad bought the bankrupt

ceived its first shipment ol 10,000 tomato plants and would
continue with a like shipment every other day until it re-

tainment Tuesday evening; that Misses Hicks and Drum-
v. right gave instrumental solos; that Miss Bessie Leverett
end Miss Griff recited; that two drill teams performed; that
Mrs. Nannie S. Robertson was Captain of the Guard; that
No. 1 Platoon members were Mrs. Hoblitz, Mrs. Alec Wil-
