our town are preparing for a grand

to Wortham Saturday, haviDg
completed bis course in phar-

Oh last-Tuesday the death an-
gel visited our totem and claimed
as its victim Mr. A. -M. Stubbs.
Allen was kind-hearted and geniaf,
upright and honorable in all bis
dealings with his fellow man, and
a devoted husband and father. His
early demise iS sad indeed, and he
will be Sorely missed by bis many
friends, and his vacant chair in th*'
family cirole can never be. fillet!.
He leaves a wife and four- small
children to mourn bis untimely de-
parture. They have our'tenderest
sympathy. *
Well it seems. that there is no
inducement just now to be a repub-
lican, so far as postoffice spoils are
