the Judge as advocate for some

session of a particularly described
animal. Before this eminent law-
yer had' fished bis argument he
had the Court and -the hangers-on
at court *in an uproar. Suddenly
Jndge Grantham said that was no
time for laughter, aud clinching
Lis lips he shouted: “Order in
the oourt room, gentlemen! SThe
next time the court is disturbed in
this manner, I shall deem the of-
fender guilty of contempt, and he
shall be dealt with accordingly.”
The Jndge now tells it on himself,
thrt - be was almost embarrassed
•once after he had remonstrated
