The “It Can Wait” campaign,
which AT&T launched about six
years ago, encourages motorists
to put their phones away and to
keep their eyes on the road while
driving. Using a virtual reality
device, participants sit in a
makeshift car and experience
the dangers associated with text-
ing and using smartphone de-
vices while driving. For more de-

“The event was originally

pal Singh and his brother, who
goes by Singh, closed Rasoi, The
Indian Kitchen on Avenue C.
Last year, the University of
North Texas Board of Regents
purchased the Rasoi property,
and the brothers had to start
looking for a space to relocate.
That search ended with a
3,000-square-foot venue that
will now serve as a dance club on
Thursday, Friday and Saturday
nights.
About 300 people can fit on
the bar and patio area, Singh said.
The new space also will serve
as a bar and restaurant, which
will include traditional Indian
dishes as well as American and
vegan options. The owners em-
phasized they will have much
more dining options than their
previous venture, but they still
will offer a buffet until 4 p.m.
Starting at 5 p.m., customers
can order from the menu, which
is not yet finalized.
Regular hours will be from U
a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through
Wednesday and U a.m. to 2 a.m.
Thursday through Saturday.
