Woman accuses husband’s
ex-girlfriend of assault
A 60-year-old woman was
arrested Monday afternoon on
three outstanding Johnson
County warrants after her ex-
boyfriend’s wife told police the
woman tried to hit her with a ve-
hicle in the 300 block of West
Eagle Drive.
Police later stopped the sus-
pect’s vehicle and collected evi-
dence and verbal statements, ac-
cording to the police report. The
victim was not injured in the in-
cident, police said.
The suspect later was arrest-
ed on three misdemeanor war-
rants: a violation of a promise to
appear, driving with an invalid
license and speeding.
■ Denton County Sheriff’s
Office dispatchers handled 650
service and officer-initiated calls
for the agencies they serve, and
38 people were booked into
Denton County Jail.
■ Denton police handled
200 service and officer-initiated
calls and posted 16 reports on-
line.
A 46-year-old man was arrested
early Monday morning and
charged with public intoxication
with three prior convictions af-
ter police found him lying on the
ground in front of the Library
still harassing her,” the report
said. The man left before police
arrived, and no arrests were
made.
1600 block of Ramey Cir-
cle — Denton officers respond-
ed to a burglary of a vehicle re-
port early Monday morning af-
ter a 25-year-old woman told
police the suspect was asleep in
her vehicle.
Denton police investigated
the incident and determined
nothing had been stolen from
the car, the report said. Police
generated a notice of criminal
trespassing, though the report
did not indicate whether police
ever contacted the suspect. No
arrests were made.

Drive — A 45-year-old woman
told police Monday evening her

residence after calling her 147
times on her cellphone and 20
times on her work phone, ac-
cording to a police report.
