to dedicate donated benches on
each elementary school play-
ground.
The benches, dubbed “Buddy
Benches,” promote inclusion
and kindness so that no student
feels left out during recess.
According to the bench rules,
kids should only sit on the Bud-
dy Bench if they can’t find any-
one to play with. Other kids
should approach those sitting on
the bench, introduce themselves
and ask them to play. Kids on the
bench are supposed to play with
the first student who comes up
