Report: Indecent exposure
leaves woman frightened
An indecent exposure Tues-
day left a woman frightened and
police looking for the suspect.
In the report filed Thursday,
the woman said an unknown
man exposed himself to her
while she was exiting City Hall.
As the woman walked to her
vehicle in the parking lot, she
observed a man standing in the
bushes with his shorts down at
his ankles, according to the re-
port. He exposed himself as the
woman was walking by, police
said.
Roundup
From 7 a.m. Thursday to 7
a.m. Friday:
■ Denton County Sherilf’s
Office dispatchers handled 830
service and officer-initiated calls
for the agencies they serve, and
36 people were booked into
Denton County Jail.
■ Denton police handled
278 service and officer-initiated
calls and posted 18 reports on-
line.
The woman gave a descrip-
tion of the suspect to police, the
report said.
Other reports
1300 block of West Hick-
ory Street — Denton police of-
ficers responded to a criminal
mischief call when a woman re-
ported that someone had
thrown a cinderblock through
her vehicle window Thursday.
The damage to the vehicle
was estimated at $500, accord-
ing to the police report.
Nothing was taken from the
woman’s vehicle and the inci-
dent appears to be a random oc-
currence.
1700 block of Teasley
Lane — Denton police re-
sponded to possible drug activ-
ity Thursday at the Londonder-
ry Oaks apartments.
Officers located the apart-
ment from where the smell of
marijuana was coming and the
resident was cited for drug para-
phernalia, according to the po-
lice report.
2900 block of Country
Club Road — A Denton officer
took an ID theft report Thurs-
day at the department, accord-
ing to a police report.
The 66-year-old victim re-
ported someone had been using
her information to scam people
out of money.
2200 block of West Hick-
ory Street — A property man-
ger reported Thursday that a
former tenant stole a window
air-conditioning unit when she
moved out, according to a police
report.
“13 defendants? Sounds like
somebody made a bad
business venture and is
desperately grasping for
someone to blame other
than themselves.
— David Wright,
via Facebook
“ Private business dis-
agreements happen all the
time and if a buyer didn’t
inspect the property or fully
understand a net lease, then
the courts will sort it out.
— David Zoltner,
on DentonRC.com
— Bj Lewis
Denton County Crime Stoppers will
pay a reward of up to $1000 for
information leading to an arrest in
these or other crimes. Callers will
remain anonymous. Call
1-800-388-TIPS (8477). Reach the
Denton police narcotics tip line at
940-565-580L
The suspect made no com-
ments, but the incident left the
woman concerned for her safety.
Another employee checked out-
side, attempting to locate the
suspect but to no avail.
“The allegations in this case
may or may not be true, but
until that is known, they
have no bearing on the City
Council race. Greg Johnson’s
business getting sued
shouldn’t be treated like a
“gotcha” major story.
