Fred 8. Gorcxyca was eery well
known to a number of Step hen vi lie
people who had met him on his
trira here with relatives of his
wife, the former Mias Sammie
Ieahv who was reared in thi* city.
He waa bom in Krakow, the old
capitol of Poland, but came with
hi* parents to the United State*
when he waa a small boy. He had
lived in Fort Worth for the last 60
years.
He beran his connection with
Swift A Co. a* a laborer In the
margarine department. Later he
waa made shippin* clerk In the
parkin* deportment of which he
soon became foreman. Thereafter
he waa receivin* clerk for a period
of several years before heir* pro-
moted te the port t ion of hood of
the voucher department in which
raparity he had char** of all of
the plant’s disbursements. His re-
tirement June 1. after servin* 25
years in the voucher department of
the Arm where he had been em-
* urn bus, for which he also acted u
auditor.
Survivors are bia wife, Mrs.
Fred S. Gorcxyva of the home; a
a son. Dr. Jack Gorcxyca, a daugh-
ter. Mrs. Frank Goldthwaite, both
of Fort Worth, and four grand-
children.
Mrs. Gorcxyca's sister, Mrs. H.
F. Johnson of Boston, came to Fort
Worth for the funeral which also
was attended by friends from vari-
ous other sections of the state and
from other states.
