Mrs. Beatrice Dimoree returned to
Cuero after spending^Sunday with home-
folks.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Moore visited
relatives in Yoakum Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoehne have re-
turned from Yorktown where they were
called to the bedside of Mr. Hoehne’s
mother, who passed away, Wednesday
after a long illness and was laid to rest
in the Yorktown eemetery Thursday
morning. Her husband preceded her in

death just one month, they were both
very old people, and had been ip ill
health quite a while, We extend our sym-
pathy.

tors at the C. V. Hartman home to-
day and in the afternoon motored to
Kilgore to attend the annual meeting
of St. Paul’s congregation.
H. A. Hartman and family were vis-
itors at the home of Otto Abramert

Plowing is still the order of the
day with black land farmers but even
they are beginning to complain about!

rain would be a most welcome visitor

surprised to hear of her recent marriage
to Mr. Davis of Gonzales. They were
