The word “Character” is deriv-

bate greatly broadened the origi-
kal meaning of the word, so great-
ly that without an attendant modi-
fier It expresses only an abstract
Idea. Character as applied to the
Matas of the human soul or intel-
lect may mean anything from de-
basement of Inebriety to the aes-
thetic dam of the artistic life.
