On Valentine’s Day we had a
great time. We were honored to
have Mr. and Mrs. Will Means as
our King and Queen. They are very
special people who mean the world
to us. I want to thank the Teague
Chronicle for coming on their
busiest day and helping make this a
loving memory for all. Mrs. Pat
Allison baked delicious heart-shaped
cookies for our party and to top it
off we had Big Red floats to boot.
The Girl Scout Troop #3120 came
out and brought everyone beautiful
hand-made Valentines and helped us
to celebrate this wonderful day.
Thanks ladies; Samantha Steen,
Shayla Burks, Nichole Williams,
Jade Steed, Starla Shea, Chiron
Nelms, Brandy Hill, Andrea
George, Traci George, and of
course their leader Ginger George.

793 Head Sold

—By Pam Beene—
Everyone has to eat. Some of
us eat more healthy than others,
but we all eat. Lunch and learn is
a good way to learn about healthy
eating as we eat.
An Extension Education Group
series began on Valentine's Day.
The series will continue on
February 28 with the topic
"Meeting Herb".
Herbs are a great way to
increase flavor when cutting fat and
sodium from your diet.
The next Tuesday, March 7 the
topic will be "Make a Mix
Cookery". This lesson will teach
ways to prepare mixes ahead that
will be time savers for busy
families.
The third in the series will be
"Quick Healthy Choices". It will
be Tuesday March 21. This lesson
will feature quick fix recipes and a
tasting and recipe sharing session.
A fourth lesson may be added
if interest warrants. All lessons
will be conducted in the
Commissioners Courtroom of the
Freestone County Courthouse
between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m.
This will allow for those working in
the Fairfield area to attend on lunch
breaks.
There is no fee for the
programs but pre-registration is
requested. The public is urged to
attend. Bring a sack lunch and eat
while you learn ways to quickly
and easily achieve a more healthy
diet.
If you are interested please call
903-389-3436 and register with
Carolyn. If you have questions I
will be happy to talk with you.
Lunch and Learn is fun and
informative. See you there.
Receipts from Buffalo Live-
stock Commission showed a total
of 793 head of cattle consigned by
