Exchange Wedding Vows On July 4th
Dana Latham of Teague and
Robert Juliano of Crowley were
married July 4, 1991 at 11 a m. in a
western theme wedding at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. James Latham, grand
parents of the bride. The bride is the
daughter of Mr and Mrs Bobby
Latham of Teague and the grand
daughter of Mr and Mrs Eugene
Tucker of Corsicana. The groom is
the son of Mrs. Francis Juliano ol
Crowley.
Keeping in w iih the western look,
the couple were married before Rev.
Tom Young, pastor of Kirvm Baptist
Church. The pastor wore bib overalls
for the occasion, and he joined them
together before a decorated half c ircle
made ol bales of hay, furnished by
the bride’s uncle, Jess Latham. The
hay was decorated with western print
bows made by the bride. Resting
against die hay were wagon wheels
and an old “yolk" furnished by Ken-
neth Butler of Wortham. To com-
plete the scene, a roll of bark'd wire
was added and old cowboy boots
filled with wild flowers placed on
each side of the circle. Additional
bales of hay were used as seating for
the guests.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. She chose an ankle
length denim dress borrowed from
her aunt, Shirley Latham. She wore
roper bools and chose a blue jean
ribbon trimmed with lace in her hair.
The bride’s bouquet was antique
white, with white roses and seeds
pearls, accented with blue rosebuds
and antique white ribbon with lace
and blue lace and blue rosebuds
hanging down. The bouquet was
made by the bride’s aunt, Pamela
Nelson.
The groom wore black jeans and
a white shirt with a black western hat
and ropers. His boutonniere was
made of white roses and a small, blue
rosebud, put together with a small
western hat Th° boutonniere was
made by the bride’s mother, Patricia
Latham.
The matron of honor was Jennifer
Baskin of Arlington, w ho wore jeans
and rojxtrs. Her bouquet was made of
white roses and blue rosebuds,
trimmed in blue lace with white lace
and blue rihbon hanging down; also
made by the bride’s mother.
The kst man, Matthew Boycson
of Arlington, also wore jeans and
ropers, with his kmtonnicre also
designed by the bride’s mother.
The pastor and the bride’s fa-
ther’s boutonnieres were also de-
signed by the bride’s mother.
The bride’s garter, designed by
her mother, was made of blue and
antique white lace accented with a
lariat rope.
The decorations for the registry
table were provided by the bride’s
aunt, Shirley Latham. The book was
made and designed by the bride; she
made a blue jean cover trimmed with
a red bandana through the belt loops.
After the wedding, a B.B.Q. lunch
was served with smoked briskets,
beans, potato salad,homemade, bread
and peach cobbler. The tables were
covered with red and white table-
-cloths, and accompanied with blue
plates, cups and napkins. The food
was served by AngclaNclson, Brandi
Prowell, Lori Latham, cousins of the
bride,and Susan Latham, sistcrof the
bride. They wore corsages also made
by the bride’s mother.
The wedding cake, made and
decorated by the bride’s mother, was
topped with a western bride and
groom which had a lariat ro|X' encir-
cling them, trimmed with blue lace,
and blue rosebuds on the thrcc-licrcd
cake, with bkurlace around the bot-
* tom edge. <Thc table was decorated
with whitcVandlc holders with blue
candles and a blue tablecloth
All pictures were taken by the
bride’s uncle, Ernie Nelson; and , as
a keepsake, the bride’s aunt, Bonil
Latham, video taped the entire wed-
ding.
Guests were registered from
Wortham, Kirvin.Slrcctman, Teague,
Waco, Corsicana, AI v in, C'n >w ley and
Arlington.
The bride attended Athens High
School before moving to Teague and
will be a homemaker.
The groom attended Crowley
High School in Crowley and is em-
ployed by Exxon in Teague.
The couple rode in the Teague 4th
of July Parade with the bride’s uncle,
Jess Latham, and they had a sign on
the back of the wagon, “Just Mar-
ried,” then attended the rodeo later
that night.
The couple will make their home
in Kirvin.

Gospel Music Concert To Be July 27
There will be a Gospel Music
Concert Saturday, July 27th, in the
McxiaCivic Center beginningat 7:30
p.m. Featured on this program will
be a well known group known as The
Sullivan Family from St. Stephens,
Alabama. The Sullivan’s specialize
in a form of Gospel Music known as
Blucgrass Gospel. The program will
also feature numerous guest doing
Country Gospel and Southern Gos-
pel. The Concert is being sponsored
by the Mexia Police Dept. Reserves.
Admission for the concert will be
$6.00 at the door, $5.00 in advance available. Doer prizes will be given
for adults. Students $1.00, children also. For more information call 817-

Alvin T. Winkler
Funeral services for Alvin Tho-
mas Winkler, Jr., 60 were held
Wednesday, July 17,1991 at 10 a.m.
at Capps Funeral Chapel in Fairfield.
Rev. O.D. Christian officiated the
services.
Interment was at PointEnterprise.
Mr. Winkler was bom in Mexia,
Texas on April 27, 1931 and passed
away July 14, 1991 in Navasota.
Mr. Winkler was a cattle ranch
foreman.
Surviving is one daughter: Susan
Lauderdale of Point Enterprise. Sons:
Eric Winkler and Daniel Winkler both
of Point Enterprise and Davy Win-
kler of Corpus Christi. Brother: Clay-
ton Suel Winkler of Killeen; Sisters:
Mrs. Alva Fryerand Mrs. Clara Marie
Childs both of Fairfield and Mrs.
Verna Mae Collier of Odessa. Four
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Barney Crouch,
Hugh Fryer, E.E. Lighlsey, Mike
Gamble, Bowie Mullen and Joe Bond.
Honorary: Newman Thornton. Dr.
Carl Williford, Peyton Await, Suel
Hill and Richard Hill.
Capps Memorial Chapel was in
charge of arrangements.

Thank you! Thank you! Our pan-
cake breakfast was a huge success.
We really appreciate everyone’s
participating in our fund raisers.
Thanks to all the volunteers. You arc
great.
Our center, the community and
her family lost a great little lady the
otherday. Mrs. Victoria Gibson was
just a beautiful person. The center
already feels her absence. Mrs. Vic-
toria, as we all called her, could say
the prettiest prayer and she was so
sincere. Wcallmisshcrbutweknow
she has a home in God’s Kingdom as
she was always asking for in her
prayers.
This Friday is birthday and game
night so plan to attend one or both.
