sided at the recent meeting of the
Bunger Girls’ 4-H Club when Miss
Larue Barrier, assistant county-
home demonstration agent, gave a
demonstration on mattress and
spring protectors.
Members voted to make protec-
tors for their beds at the close of
the interesting demonstration.

ville spent Monday here with rela-

Mrs. W. E. Lasley has returned
from Mineral Wells where she vis-
ited her son, Carl Lasley, and fam-
ily.
Mr. and Mrs. George Leberman
and Mrs. Ollie Blancett spent Sun-
day afternoon with Mr. and Mrs.
W. F. Keathley.
Ramona Hays, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Gladys Hays, is ill with
pneumonia.
Mrs. Grace Sims returned home
last Friday and is much improved.
Mrs. C. A. Clower is spending
the week at Perrin in the home
of her father-in-law, who is ill.
Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Self and chil-
dren spent the week with her par-
ents near Ranger in order to visit
with a brother who was home from
the army.
Mrs. Marguerite Golden and baby
are spending the week with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Bald-
win.
Mr. and Mrs. Carter Guyton and
little daughter of Hobbs, 1ST. M.,
were here this week to see her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Brooks.
Waldo Orr, Machinist 2nd Class,
of San Diego, Calif., left Tuesday
after spending three days with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Orr.
He has to report back in San
Francisco.
Charlie Grubbs is spending a
few days .in Harlingen.
Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Allen, Bryson,
spent Saturday night with Mr. and
Mrs. W. D. Allen.
Mrs. Sally Allen, Fort Worth,
spent Sunday here with friends
and relatives.
The Ingleside boys came down
Monday night and defeated our
boys in basketball.
Mr. and Mrs. John Ford and
daughter, Lena, visited Mr. and
Mrs. McCullen near Olney Sunday
afternoon.
John L. Castlpman, who is tak-
ing treatments at Mineral Wells,
was home Saturday. He returned
to Mineral Wells Sunday.
Mrs. C. M. Escue and son, Her-
man Earl of Denton visited from
Wednesday until Monday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. How-
ard and Mrs. Ruby Escue.
Sgt. Timms of Brownwood spent
the week-end with his wife at the
home of her mother, Mrs. Ruby
Escue.
Bro. Brown of Ingleside preached
at the morning hour.
Mrs. Chas. Day Gray and baby,
Ruby Myrl of Wichita Falls, visited
her mother, Mrs. Ruby Escue, last
week.
John Ford visited his son, Les
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Williams of
Megargel spent Saturday night and
Sunday with their son, N. Wil-
liams.
Mrs. M. D. Holder is spending
a few days with her son, Clyde
Holder in Graham.
Mrs. Harrell Brock and baby of
Round Timbers spent the week-end
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Callahan.
Carl Callahan has been trans-
ferred to Roswell, N. M.
Bonnie Graham of Wichita Falls
and a friend from Pyote Field and
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Welch and baby,
Patsy, of Megargel were the guests
of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Graham.
Lt. Jim M. Williams has been
transferred from Tarrant Field of
Fort Worth to a camp at Del Rio,
Texas.
Bill Denison left this past week
to secure work in the shipyard
at Houston.
N. Williams and Jubel Wells at-
tended the auction sale in the El-
bert community.
Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Elliott vis-
ited Thursday night with Mr. and
Mrs. Josh Swaim near Jean.
'Visiting in the J. M. Nall home
here this week were Mr. and Mrs.
Pratt Nall and little daughter,
Sheila, of Throckmorton.
Miss Oma Mae McClalland, a
teacher in the True school, visited
here last week-end with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob McClelland.
Mr. and Mrs. Pink Souther spent
from Thursday until Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Souther
in Graham.
Mrs. Bill Sanders of Amarillo is
visiting relatives here.
Wallace Burns, Roswell, N. M.,
Military Institute student, visited
here this week with his grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Wal-
lace.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wheat had as
Sunday guests Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Wheat and Pauline of Fort Worth,
Mr. and Mrs. Preston Dickens of
Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs. Audry
Wheat and baby of Bowie, Mr. and
Mrs. Ridley Garrett and son, Doug-
las of Jean, Mrs. A. J. Wheat and
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wheat and

Mrs. Otho Edwards is in Alexan-
Ford, near Wichita Falls last Mon-

Delbert Drennan was to leave
Monday for a training camp. Most
all of our boys have gone to the
army.
