daughter, Sally Ann, were in
Breckenridge Sunday visiting Mr.
and Mrs. C. C. Adams. Sally Ann
remained for a longer visit.
Miss Malta Lee Evans recently
received a necklace from her fa-
ther, Doyle Evans, RM 2-c, who is
in the Pacific.
Mr. and Mrs. C: A. Tanner were
in Seymour Saturday night for
the rodeo.

itor in Wichita Falls several days

Mr. and Mrs. H. D. McCain spent
last week in Spur visiting in the
home of their son.

Jacksboro were guests last Friday

with Mrs. Chambers’ mother, Mrs.
R. V. Davis, and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cole were in
Seymour for the weekend visit-
ing in the home of his mother,
and attending the Rodeo.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dyer were in
Elbert Sunday, guests of Mr. and
Mrs. D. N. McCarson.
Miss Hazel Sampley of Katy
came Sunday for a visit with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Sam-
pley. Miss Sampley is employed
by Humble Oil Refining Co.
Capt. and Mrs. W. H. Ritchey
and son, who have been stationed
at Denton since last fall, left Wed-
nesday for Fort Sam Houston where
he will be stationed. Mrs. Ritchey
is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs.
D. R. Woods.
Miss Eva Matlock left this week
for a few weeks’ vacation in Okla-
homa where she will visit friends
and relatives in Marlowe, Norman,
Oklahoma City, and Altus.
Clester Evans was a business vis-
itor in Seymour Monday night.
Albert Ragle was in Corsicana
for the weekend visiting his son
3nd family, Major Leon Ragle.
Pvt. Paul Sutton from Camp Wol-
ters was the weekend guest of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Sutton.
Mr. and Mrs. M. Foehr and
daughters, Alma and Wanda, re-
turned Wednesday to their home
New Braunfels after a week’s
visit here in the home of their
daughters, Mrs. A. F. Ickert and
Mrs. Alfred Johle.
Jimmy Acker left last Wednes-
day for Colorado Springs, Colo.,
where he is visiting his aunt and
uncle, Major and Mrs. Ray Elry.
L. C. Boyd was a business visitor
in Knox City and Seymour last
Tuesday.
Miss Bernice Groves was a bus-
iness visitor in Dallas Friday.
Miss Billie Jean Brazelton is
working part-time at Alexander’s
Ready-to Wear.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lunn and
children left last Thursday for
Gruber where they are visiting Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Alexander, relatives
of Mrs. Lunn.
Mrs. M. D. Wolverton of Vernon
left Tuesday after h visit with Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Wolverton.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Betts
of Vernon were here Sunday
through Tuesday visiting friends.
Mrs. E. C. Smidt is here with her
mother, Mrs. Charles Hunt, while
her husband is in the service.
Mrs. Waldon Mahan, Mrs. Doris
Williams, Misses Billie Ruth Mitch-
ell and Betty Griffith were in Sey-
mour for the rodeo Saturday night.
Billie Joe Burris had as his
guest last weekend Jack Green of
Alvin.
Mrs. W. J. Ragle was an over-
night visitor in Wichita Falls
Tuesday night.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Goss were in
Vernon last weekend visiting his
parents.
Mrs. Gus Kuehn left Wednesday
for a few days’ visit to Fort Worth.
Mr. and Mrs. George Key were
in Wichita Falls Sunday with
their son, Pfc. Floyd Key, who was
enroute to Fort Ord, California,
after a furlough in Olney.

FURLOUGH WITH PARENTS
Pvt. Willie J. Sullivan left Sat-
urday for Fort Ord, Calif., after
a furlough here with his parents,
Mr. and "-Mrs. R. L. Sullivan of
Route 2.
Pvt. Sullivan has been awarded
the Expert Infantryman Badge at
the Infantry Replacement Center
of Camp Fannin.
