The Cubs got one up, one down,
in the district cage race for their
last pair of games. They dropped
a match to Iowa Park Hawks by
a slim 43-42 difference. Then' last
Tuesday night they swamped Val-
ley View’s Warriors here, 57 to 17
Archer City Next
Tomorrow night (Friday)' they
invade Archer City.
In the hard-fought Iowa Park
game the Hawks clung to a 26-23
lead at the half. The Cubs cut
the margin to a point but couldn’t
entirely overcome it. Watts of the
Hawks and Warren of Olney tied
for high point honors, with 18
apiece.
In the Valley View game, the
locals were never exerted, and
from first to last Coaches Frank-
lin and Joe Turner sent 11 players
in to see action. At the half it
was Olney, 29 to 3.
