I have yours of the 2nd to Messrs. Baker, Botts, Andrews & Dhepherd
for the attention of Mr. Fulbright. I hope that our attorneys will
give very prompt attention to this matter.
I am not so deeply concerned about the tax problem involved as I be-
lieve you covered that and have had it so prominently in mind that
you will not fail to have your opinion in the premises confirmed or
altered by the attorneys.
I am more concerned about the problem of holding a lien on the prop-
erty we are about to convey until the mains are laid for water and
sewerage under specifications satisfactory to us. Then a deed could
be made to us for these properties concurrent with our releasing our
lien on the property that is to be or is being subdivided and sold.
