Mrs. W. A. Hudspeth in Stephen-
ville Wednesday. Mrs. Hudspeth
was loved and respected by many
friends here, where she lived for
many years before moving to the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Tarver
Garrett in Stephenville, about a
year ago.
Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Eades visited
Sunday afternoon in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Ramsay of
Pony Cresk.
Mr. and Mrs. Truman Kay of
Bishop, accompanied by Mr. and
Mra. Oliver Kay of Stephenville,
visited relatives here Sunday aft-
ernoon.

Hospital.

University, Waco, visited his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carey and
brother, Rex Lynn, over the week-

Fort Worth visited her parents
over the weekend.
Herman McGhee was in Brown-
wood last Sunday.

joyed a birthday dinner in the

We regiet to report a death in
our community this week. Mr. R.
W. Dewey passed away Saturday
in the Dublin Hospital after hav-
ing suffered a stroke a few days
ago. Several in this community
attended the funeral at Stephen-
ville Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller and
small daughter and Mrs. Miller’s
father, Mr. W. K. Lester, all of
Fort Worth, visited Mr. and Mr*.
H. G. Goodman Sunday.
Our community was well repre-
sented at thp REA meeting at Ste-
phenville Tuesday, Jan. 13.
Mrs. Carl Chapman of Route 2,
Stephenville, was admitted to the
Stephenville Hospital Saturday far
treatment of flu. She was report-
ed to be improved Monday aad ex-
pected te return home soon.

Kelley of Tokio; one daughter,
the | Mrs. Elsie Chenault of Tokio: one
Jesse Green Kelley at the Bluff
Dale Baptist Church. The Rev.
('. E. Wainscott of Tokio, Texas
conducted the services and was as-
sisted bv Rev. C. J. Thomas of
Bluff Dale.
Kelley was born May 17, 1873
in Georgia and came to Texas at
an early age. In 1900 he was mar-
ried to Ester Ellis in EratH Coun-
ty. where they lived until his wife's
brother, Henry of Stephenville; six
grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren.
Kelley died in Tokio January 12
after a short illness. He had been
a member of the Baptist Church
since he was a young man.
Pallbearers were: Wayne Sher-
lin, I W. Bailey, and L. A. Tuttle
all of Tokio, and Garland Norris,'
Gilmer Norris and Paul Norris
all of Stephenville.
Interment was made at the Wes-
ley Chapel Cemetery.

This mommunity was saddened
when the news came that Mr. W.
R. Dewey had passed away in the
Dublin Hospital. We extend to his
wife and loveones our deepest
sympathy.
We still have a lot of cases of
“flu” here, hut most rases are re-
ported to he improved.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Wright are
t’re proud parents of a baby girl.
Mrs. W X). Bramblett and sons
had Mrs. Ernest and Hugh Har-
ris of Morgan Mill and Mr. Ras-
berry of Stephenville visit in their
home the past week.

tended the funeral services of Mr.
Dewey in Stephenville Sunday aft-
ernoon. .
Mr. and Mra. Dewitt Graham,
popular young couple who Own and
operate the Graham Beauty Shap
on the west side of the square, are
announcing the arrival of their
son on January 7. The young fel-
low weighed seven pounds, six
ewces, and has been named Alva
Kant.
Bert Drake, 639 N. St. Peters,
Hamiitoa, was admitted to the Ste-
phenville Hospital on Wednesday
is employed at the
Pharmacy in Hamilton.
