Stockholders of the First Na-
tional Bank of Quitman met
last week to elect directors for
the coming year. After electing
Alex McKenzie chairman of the
meeting the group heard a
short report on the status of
the bank from G. M. Benton
president.
The stockholders by unani-
mous vote selected the follow-
ing men to serve on the board
of directors for the year: Bobby
Manziel. Alex McKenzie, G. P
Cain. G M. Benton. T. L. Den-
ton. L. W. Garrett, and B. L.
Johnson.
The board of directors thru
elected the following officers
for the bank: Bobby Manziel.

On SMU Campus
All graduating high school
seniors, high school administra-
tors. faculty sponsors and direc-
tors of Mineola have been in-
vited to attend Southern Meth-
odist University’s Fourth An-
nual High School Career Day
Feb. 25.
About 1,000 senior students
from 350 high schools within a
radius of 125 miles of Dallas are
expected to attend.
The High School Career Day
is designed to assist graduating
seniors to discover a satisfying
vocation and to give the stu-
dents the opportunity to consult
with specialists on the training
necessary in specific professions
The program will consist of
morning and afternoon general
assemblies in McFarlin Memor-
ial Auditorium and of numerous
workshops and conferences in
various buildings on SMU's
spacious campus.
