A west Texas doctor has the
Soil Conservation Service at
Mineola to prescribe the needed
treatment to be given a large
tract of land near his boyhood
home he is developing into beef
cattle ranch.
Dr. F. Farrington, a dentist
of O'Donnell, Texas, recently
became a cooperator with the
Wood Soil Conservation Dis-
trict Program and requested
technical assistance in planning
and establishing the needed soil,
water, and plant conservation
measures on 715 acres adjacent
to the East city limits of Alba,
his native home. Charles Chris-
tian, farm planner with the
SCS assisted Farrington with
his conservation plan.
Farrington intends to plant
most of his acreage to coastal
bermuda. The planting stock
will be harvested from a 20 acre
tract he planted last year. SCS
technicians say, “coastal ber-
