LETTERS TO
THE EDITOR
Editor:
I see where Jester is still try-
ing to push his pet Bill through
the Legislature.
That of consigning about 4
million dollars of the Tax payers
hard earned money over to the
State Penintentiary.
I once said, and I wish to re-
iterate 1t again, that this Insti-
tution should under economic
management, turn thousands of
dollars back into the State treas-
ury annually, and make all re-
.) pairs and erect new buildings—
make it self supporting. It can
be done, _why make the penin-
tentiary so comfortable?
That may be the reason some
men keep going back.
I once saw a man that was a
7 time ex—and the woods are
full of 5, 3 and 2 time exs, com-
pare the comfort that these con-
ivets are getting with that of
our Soldier Boys while in the
Army. (Hence a Dogtent).
If you must spend, give this
4 million to our Soldier Boys,
or to our Schools, Health De-
partment. Everyone should pro-
test the passage of this Bill.
There must be a limit to our
spending, or else We will loose
our Homes and Farms.
