ates. Delivery of the commence-
ment address by the oollege
president is a 15-year tradition
at the college.

Tuesday, May 29th was the
date Mrs. J. Bob Ham, was the
hostess to .ihe Tuesday Bridge
Club.
Mrs. Ham, in her gracious
manner, welcomed each one at
• he door and ushered them in
to the recqptrm rooms, which
were lovetv -in their arrange-
ment of gladioli asters and
roses. A note of special interest
was theipriingement of gladioli
place^fn the entrance hall.
Tmo tables of bridge were en
joyed throughout the afternoon
with Mrs. Dick Boyd winning
high score.
Strawberry short cake topped
with whipped cream and cokes
were served to Mrs. Fred Wheel-
us, Mrs. Maurice Gage, Mrs.
Dick Boyd, Mrs. Allen Bendy,
Mrs. Howard Davis, Mrs. Garland
Owens, Mrs. Fenton Smith Jr.,
and Mrs. Ham, hostess.

Mrs. Sam Bill Bourn La* open-
ed her lovely newly decorated
home Wednesday, May 31, to en-
tertain her Sewing Club.
The. guests arrived at
o'clock and were ushered into
the dining room, where a
luncheon of tuna salad, potato
chips, olives, pickles, cookies anil
cokes were served. *
The afternoon was spent in
conversation and hand work.
