Eastern Star to be
Installed at Meeting
At the regular meeting of the
Easern Star. Tuesday night
June 12, at 8 o’clock, in the
Masonic Hall, there will be an
installation of the new officer*
for 1951-1952.
The installing of officers will
be conducted by Mrs. A. B.
Evans of Fort Worth. The in-
stalling Marshall, Mrs. George
Roberts; Mrs. R. R. Tuley, or-
ganist.
Officers for the year are: Sara

Following the installation the
traditional Rainbow Bible of
white was presented the new
presiding officer by Doris Con-
stant. A gift of appreciation was
presented the retiring worthy
advisor by Frankie Jim Wilcox.
The new worthy advisor in-
troduced her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. H. O. Wiloox and her
grandmother, Mrs. Grace Jarrott,
and presented them witn
flowers, Mrs. Jarrott is past
mother advisor.
Frankie Jim is a ’51 graduate
o’ Freer high school and was
mascot of the Freer band in 1941
and 1942, later becoming a
member when she piayed oornet
from 1944 to 1950. She was a
I member of FHA and circulating
manager of the high school
newspaper.
Initiated into Rainbow' work
in December, 1947, she has held
the station religion, nature, im-
mortality, drill leader, chaplain
and faith. She was elected to
represent Freer in the grand
Assembly held in El Paso in
1948; she returned to Houston
in 1949, to Mineral Weils in
1950 and will represent Freer at
the Grand Assembly in Austin
in June 1951,.
The Grand Cross of Colors will
be awarded Frankie Jim,
Jeanette Buchanon, past worthy
advisor and Joyce Swink, junior
worthy advisor at the Grand
Assemty in June.
Frankie Jim is the eldest
great grandchild of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Posey, 1105 East Elm Street,
league, Texas, and great niece
of Mrs. John Duggan and W. K.
l’oeey, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs A. W. Bald reo
spent last weekend in Houston,
their grandchildren, Dorothy,
Barbara, Judy and Bobby, re-
turned home with them for a
visit.
Mrs. Ann Dickens and Gay,
spent Sunday in Dallas with her
grandmother, Mrs. E. V. Gay.
Tommie Fitch of Houston, is
vistting his grandmother, Mrr.
E. Kuykendall, for a few weeks.

co, left Teague Wednesday,
after visiting in the home of
their father, L. Notley. ,
Miss Clara Gregory left Mon-
day of this week to enroll for
the summer term at the Univer-
sity of Texas, Austin.
V'W. E. Mainord’s weekend
guests were: Hugh Mainord,
Dallas; Kay Mainord and son,
Billie Ray and J. C. Fredrick of
Beaumont.

las, is visiting in Teague for
several days.
Miss Betty Mulcahy left last
week for Galveston, where she
has accepted a position and to
be with her sister, Mias Jean
Mulcahy, who also works in
Galveston.
Jack Bloxom, a student at
Jacksonville Baptist College,
Jacksonville, Texas, is home for
a few weeks. He will lead the
singing in revival meetings in
different towns during the sum-
mer months.
