ally beautiful. And we can
all see for ourselves next
Sunday, December 7 at 2:00
p.m. when CISD will host an
open house.

merce and its members are
hard at work planning ac-
tivities to make an enjoy-
able, successful and festive
Christmas season for our
hometown businesses, as
well as our local citizens.
Shopper’s Night and
Cora’s Christmas is sched-
uled for Friday, December
12 and Saturday, December
13 when participating busi-
nesses will be offering spe-
cial promotions, etc.
If you want to enter the
Christmas Lighting and
Decorating Contest for your
business or your residence
you must fill out an entry
COMANCHE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND AG-
RICULTURE HOSTS MYSTERY TOUR: The Coman-
che Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture hosted a Mys-
tery Tour from the Arlington Woman's Club in Comanche
last Wednesday. Over 100 ladies toured historic downtown
Comanche as hosted by Jacci Stewart and Linda Kirkland
with Comanche Main Street. Following the tour of down-
town, the group enjoyed lunch at Yumm's the Word, tours
and shopping at Brennan Vineyards and Durham-Ellis Pe-
can Retail Store. The visitors are estimated to have invested
$8,000 in our community and also made a lovely donation
to the "Save the Depot" fund and to the Comanche County
Historical Museum. The last stop was at the Museum, where
volunteers gave mini tours of the Museum.

around downtown for the
Shopper's Night, going on
till 8:00 p.m. on Saturday!

Residents and visitors are
encouraged to enjoy evening
services at local churches,
and again enjoy the "Light
Up Christmas” lighting and
decorating contest entries.
Homes and businesses are
encouraged to have all their
Christmas lights on for view -
ing, especially the nights of
December 12-14, 18-21, 24
and 25.
The Christmas Business
After Hours will be hosted
by Texas Bank, on Tues-
day, December 16th from
5:30-6:30 p.m. Awards for
the "Light Up Comanche”
lighting and decorating con-
test winners will be given at
this event, third and fourth
quarter New Chamber Mem-
bers will be introduced, the
Christmas Wreath Contest
winners annouced and ev-
eryone is invited to attend!

Gustine will be holding
a Hometown Holiday and
Tree Lighting on Saturday,
December 6 at the Down-
town Pavilion. The event
will begin at 5:30 p.m.
At 6:00 p.m. A Very Mer-
ry Mainsteet Market will
open. Vendors will be sell-
ing Scentsy Candle Warm-
ers, jewelry, purses, totes,
pewter serving pieces, em-
broidered linens, homemade
crafts, and Gustine VFD
baked goods.
Next, Free Carriage Rides
w ill begin at 7:00 p.m. at the
Downtown Pavilion.
Finally, beginning at 7:15
p.m., the Gustine VFD will
be bringing Santa to town
to officiate the tree lighting
ceremony. The ceremony
will continue until 9:00 p.m.
There will also be the upper*■
tunity to take free pictures
with Santa.
