After a thorough sifting of the
.evidence in the Titantic disaster
the concensus of opinion seems
to be that the ship was lost on
the reckless rate of speed main-
tained after being notified that
icebergs were in the vessel’s
track. The truth of the matter
is that the ship was making a
record run under the orders of
Mr. Ism ay the manager of the
White Star line who was aboard
the ship and one of the saved.

Tuesday evening that an aged
man, Mr. Fredrick Blum had
hung himself on the Chas. Esch-
senburg place. Esq. Habermacher
repaired at once to the place and
found the fact as stated. Mr.
Blum was 37 years old and had
been in bad health for some
time. He had been living with
his step-son . Mr. Paul Glatzert.
