Committee chairmen of various
working groups of the chamber of
commerce; met with the directors

session to! plan a program of acti-
vity for McAllen.
The directors were so enthusias-
tic over tlhe new committees ani
their work that various ones made
such predictions as: "McAllen will
go places! with committees like
these.” VI have been a McAllen
chamber 0f commerce director for

never have I seen committees like
these’ and so on.

MERCEDES, Aug. 2—(Spl.) —
Secretary L. F. Boling of the Mer-
cedes chamber' of commerce, is in
receipt of a letter from H. F. Col-
lins of Ranyon, Texas, asking if
ebony trees grow in the Rio Gran-
de Valley. In his letcr Collins stat-
ed that he had made the stale-
