Police: Woman found
with ‘brown substance’
A 31-year-old woman was ar-
rested Sunday morning and
charged with public intoxication
after police found her passed out
on the side of a road near North
Loop 288 and McKinney Street,
according to a police report.
The report said she was on
pain medication and could be a
danger to herself. After police
took her to Denton City Jail,
they found her in possession of a
brown substance, which police
said they believed was tar hero-
in. They also found drug para-
phernalia in her possession, the
report said.
Police may update her charg-
es based on more lab tests, the
report said.
