pointed general foreman-mobil
equipment and maintenance in
the transportation and services
department at U.S. Steel’s Tex-
as Works here, it was an-
nounced by Victor G. Glass Jr.,
general superintendent.
A 1970 graduate of the Uni-
versity of Missouri at Holla with
BS degree in mechanical engi-
neering, Horan joined Texas
Works that same year as a man-
agement trainee in the mainte-
nance department.
He advanced to turn foreman-
electric furnace and caster main-
tenance in 1972 and has served as
acting general foreman, mobil
equipment, the position he
leaves for his recent promotion.
Horan and wife Bobbie live in
Crosby.
